Lisa's Story
I moved from Denver to Los Angeles in 1979 after graduation and worked in computer hardware and software diagnostics, before there were computers in every home or office. I did a brief stint at Capitol Records and worked in other areas of the music industry before relocating to Hawaii in 1982. I was employed by a company supporting works in agribusiness and aquaculture in 3rd world countries for 3 years until the company folded.
In 1986 I began traveling around the world, and wound up living and working in Germany and Scotland for two years. I eventually returned to Denver in 1988, where I was accepted to Continental Airlines flight school and moved to Houston, where I began a career as a flight attendant. In 1992 I married my husband in Sydney Australia, and had a second wedding on Lookout Mountain in Denver. We settled in Houston and remained there until 1998, then moving to Sydney permanently. I resigned from flying reluctantly after commuting to Houston from Sydney for 5 years (holding the record for longest commute to work!). I took a job working at Tooheys Brewery, where I have remained happily working with beer! We have one son, a bunch of fish, 3 rabbits and a dog :-)
My interests include Running, Boxing, Race Walking, cooking, and especially the Denver Broncos. And my favorite city in the whole world is Denver, even after traveling to 42 countries it's the place I always miss the most.
